Four continents, each surrounded by the ocean. Each one varies in size and shape, not one signifigantly more interesting than the other.

These continents are inhabited by humans whose entire world depends on the elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. Every child born in this world will emerge from the womb with a corresponding elemental sign seemingly burned into their palm, literally deciding their fate. Marked from birth, the people with the same elements come together to form Drins.

Drin [pronounced as it is spelled] - one of the four elemental groups of humans. There is an Earth Drin, and Fire Drin, a Water Drin, and Wind Drin. Consider Drin the same as "tribe." Please note that there are no hybrids. Children resulting from mixed relationships have the signs of the more dominant parent.

Each Drin has a Ruler. One person who makes critical decisions and oversees the growth and development of his/her Drin. Often, the Drin of a continent is either the wisest, or most powerful, or both, of the magic users on that continent.

Naturally, in a society such as this, conflict is bound to occur. Children growing up are warned not to misbehave, lest they be sent away to one of the other continents to live with foreign Drins, a fate made out to be worst than death.

Despite the unavoidable conflict, friendship does arise. Over the history of this world, wars and alliances have been aplenty. Currently, a new sort of agreement has been met. Instead of waging war, wasting countless lives in the process, each contintent will elect two individuals to take place in a tournament. This tournament takes place on the center island of the world, neutral ground, and is broadcasted throughout the skies by the various magics of each Drin.

In these tournaments, all restrictions are removed. Forbidden magics and techniques are unlocked, and the battles must end in death or forfeit. The winner of the tournament represents which of the Drins are the strongest, and the matter is settled until the following year.

Roleplay Disclaimer: Simply put, I do not care what you think. I do not care if you believe I am stealing these ideas from an anime/game/book. I do not care if you believe the idea is stupid. I do not care if you think I am stupid. I do not care if you believe this website is sub-par. I do not care if you do not wish to participate in this roleplay. I do not care if you do not care.

I am "creating" this roleplay because I wish to enjoy myself with others, and enjoy a "classic" type of roleplay. Such a roleplay requires a firm structure, therefore I do not want to see characters randomly appearing without my permission halfway through. These characters will be ignored by me, and therefore not a part of any of the events.

Character Disclaimer: You may create your character in any way you like, but know that it must be approved by me. If your character seems rediculously overpowered, or just generally rediculous, I will reject your entrance into the Roleplay. Allowed characters will be put on a list, and posted in this site.
