Flencemont
Academy
-The school is located in
the region of [unnamed], the grounds used for the school are surrounded by
mountainous and forested areas which keep it secluded and protected from the
outside. These grounds are owned and donated for use of the school by Lord
[unnamed]. Travel outside of the school area is taken by paths through the
mountains, or by a train which goes to the nearest city outside of the school's
region.
-The region of [unnamed]
is on the continent of [unnamed]. It shares borders with many countries and is
aligned with many countries on the continent that provide funds and students for
training to the school. The amount of countries or their names are not set, so a
student can come from any of them.
-The school grounds are
made of buildings for classes, dorms, gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria,
infirmary, and etc. The outdoor areas are a courtyard, which leads into all of
these buildings, sporting and training fields, and etc. These school grounds are
surrounded by a protective wall, used to keep creatures out of the school. The
surrounding forests and mountains/caves are used most often for
training/quests/and tests, but are also otherwise safe for
travel/outings/exploration in some areas.
-The Facility is broken
up into three sections.
- General
Education
- Combat
Instruction
- Magical Arts
-Each of these sections
is run by a separate individual, or headmaster.
- General Education -
Master Sorren Torenyll
- Covers subjects
such as History, Art, Languages, Sciences etc.
- Combat Instruction -
Master Talthar Falission
- Classes: Phys Ed,
Martial Arts/Self-Defence, Weapons Training, Battle Tactics
- Magical Arts -
Master Elias Blair
- Classes:
Meditation/Focus, Offensive/Dark Magic, Defensive-Supportive/White Magic,
Alchemy.
-Each student will select
two classes each semester from either Combat or Magical Arts that make up their
scheduling. Be careful with your selection as each class is used to build
specific skills, most students will only be at Flencemont for two terms, and
they may re-take a class to build upon what they previously learned.
-The easiest way to
describe this is, similar to Garden in FF8, students being taught in an academy
of war, to become soldiers.
-The world is a
feudal/modern fantasy mix, basically allowing a wide variety of appearance,
weapons, technologies, luxuries etc.

In a little-known region high in the mountains, secluded by forests innundated with babbling brooks and deep rills, is an academy devoted to the art of war. Parents the world-over sent their children here with high hopes that they will one day occupy a high position in the military, or at the side of a king ... perhaps for them to even, one day, become the ruler of a nation by the sheer wrath of their blade. The name of this instructional facility is Flencemont War Academy.
Although the facility is composed of many buildings---donated by a mysterious benefactor whose name is merely a rumor to students and, if the staff know of it they never let on---there are three main structures where-in study occurs: the general education building, presided over by Master Torenyll who teaches history, art, language, and science; the combat instruction building, presided over by Master Talthar Falission, who covers the study of martial arts, weapons training, and tactics; and finally the magic arts building, under the instruction of Master Elias Blair.
Flencemont is diverse, and students come from all over. Aside from the occasional sly wink from one of the three head instructors, it might seem to the passer-byer that nothing but confusion and chaos ruled here.
Without being too wordy, here is more-or-less what happened in the Flencemont War Academy RP so far.
Day 1:
Students gather in Headmaster Torenyll's class. As you remember, he's the headmaster of the General Education building. Some students (two, I think) are late, and he assigns them demerits. After that, he calls upon some students to recite the 9th poetic dirge of Acranfale Heights, lines one through five, which read as follows: "From this earth we come, and return to it we do, leaving what we know now, arriving where we've forgotten. Mother earth now hold us steady, for it is her that shows us the path. For in death she grasps our heart and soul and lays us to an easy rest." The class is then dismissed, but an essay is required of them.
Following this, the students learn of an orientation at Headmaster Elias Blair's building of Magic Arts, many of which go and listen to him discuss the fundamental elements of magic, some of the girls get wet while playing with water, some guys get hard watching Elias play with fire. Meanwhile, Kelion Deorcmone and Elrohir Anwarunya meet up in the Combat Instruction building, perform a few exercises, and eventually listen to Headmaster Falission's orientation. Thus dismissed, they return to their dormitories for the night.
There is some character interaction between Tranquility and Elrohir at that point involving shoes; I'm not 100% sure what happened, also, Relena and Adalia don't quite hit it off during magic arts orientation. Adalia throws a diamond of water into Relena's hair, and soon finds herself with a face full of soaked pigtails. 'nuff said.
Day 2:
Kelion and Elrohir enter the cafeteria, discuss the benefits of a protein-based lunch. The girls eat half of an apple and worry about their weight. Kelion and Elrohir seem so share similar interests. Another student joins them, the girls talk amongst themselves ... I don't recall what the discussion was. Kelion leaves to go to the meditation park to read, Elrohir follows. Relena talks to Severitus by the fountain. Tranquility and Adalia continue to speak in cafeteria.
Kelion reads from a library book containing all the dirges of Acranfale Heights, and falls asleep in the park while Elrohir is talking with him. Adalia comes and says hello to Elrohir, and they walk off into a nearby meadow off the academy grounds. They hit it off very well, seem to be in love. Kelion wakes up, hears people talking, and interrupts them. However, before they can really start speaking, it begins to rain, and they head back in for their next class period.
Back in class, although a little doused, Elrohir boasted of his new prize (Adalia) to Torenyll silently, after having asked him for a little woman-related advise the day before. All the students gathered, Torenyll has a brief question-and-answer time with the students, asking them about the essays they wrote and for their explanations of why somebody would concoct the lie of Acranfale Heights studied the day prior. Afterwards, Torenyll starts to discuss the history of the academy. Apparently there use to be a sorcerer who lived there before it became a school; a man who enslaved many kings and kingdoms beneath his dark rule. It took five warriors to bring him down, but they couldn't kill him.. it is rumored that he is encapsulated somewhere in the grounds of Flencemont. Before the students are dismissed, Torenyll instructs Adalia to curb her attitude and has Ysuran Un'Drun write a long essay on his theory of what happened to the sorcerer. Elrohir stays behind to borrow the book Torenyll taught from that day, and his request is granted. Kelion stays behind, lost in thought...
Relena talks with Severitus at the fountain, somebody falls in and gets wet. Elrohir follows Adalia around, talks with her, and she invites him up to he dorm room. Once there, they kiss, get horny, but don't have sex... it's too early. Instead, they just realize how late it is and fall asleep together (yeah, right). Meanwhile, Kelion has awakened from his reverie, and has gone for a run in the rain. I don't know what the other students were up to... oh, yeah, Ysuran was talking to his dad via a seeing stone, and the girls were writing in their journals about the teachers and guys.
Somewhere during the night Elrohir wakes up and puts his glowing Elven pecker in Adalia's no-no spot, and impregnates her. Woo?
Day 3: -Gaspage!-
Kelion wakes up early, and goes for his typical run around the grounds of Flencemont; the rain is starting to let up, but by the time he is done it is soaking wet. Kelion meets Elrohir as he is coming back into the dormitory to get changed, but gets waylaid. Elrohir shows him the book he had borrowed from Torenyll, and decides to go spelunking in the basement of Flencemont academy. Eventually he talks Kelion into it. Meanwhile, Relena wakes up and comes down the stairs, and exchanges a greeting with Kelion. She seems to like him, but he's too dumb to notice right now. He's too busy thinking about unsolved mysteries.
Kelion and Elrohir explore the basement, and Kelion finds out that his Elven companion is afraid of shadows. They find books, and a picture of Flencemont, but with some changes. The picture has a well, but there is no well that they've seen. Meanwhile, people are doing... stuff. I don't remember. I was only half here at the time. Kelion bumps his head while they're looking around, tho'. Oh! And Ysuran is talking with his fruity father, Adalia sneaks up on him, and he snatches her into his room. They have a heated discussion, and she finds out that she is a moon elf. Her hair (even pubic hair) changes color. Scary, no? Relena may have been fencing with Severitus at this time...
Anyway, Kelion and Elrohir are done snooping around, and they head up to the dormitory building to get washed up. They go to their rooms, strip, grab a towel, and head for the showers. On the way to the showers Kelion bumps into Relena while wearing nothing but a pair of leather breeches and a towel on his shoulder. Embarrassed, they have a brief conversation ... but it only serves to get Kelion's blood running. Blushing, Relena departs, suggesting that they talk later; she can't get over how polite Kelion is, even in ... strange circumstances. Kelion is so flustered that by the time he gets soap on his body Elrohir is already dried, dressed, and on his way out. Good thing he got a cold shower, he may have missed the class they were rushing to make.
All the students make it to class, realize that Torenyll isn't there, but on the blackboard is an assignment suggesting that the students read a chapter of their High Elven language text. The students file out; Elrohir and Adalia have a heated exchange in the doorway when he finds out she's a moon Elf, says she's evil, and can't stand the thought of her being the mother to his child. Meanwhile, ignorant to the sexual partners' dispute, Kelion walks up to Relena and asks her if she would like to walk and study with him. She agrees, and they walk through the meditation part reading sonnets until the twilight and they can't see the pages anymore. Relena asks him about the bump on his head, he says it is nothing, and kneels down to show her he's right... but she kisses him on the head. The scene is romantic, and he kisses her hand and tells her how wonderful she is. <3 <3 <3 ... She walks off, and he stays in the park, totally in love.
MEANWHILE... lots of shit back at the ranch, I mean, dormitory. Apparently Ysuran, his evil father, and Adalia have been plotting, or something... I dunno. But she's pissed at Elrohir, and they have it out. It is late, but after a while Elrohir feels bad, and decides to apologize to Adriana, only to find Ysuran in her room with her (they SAY nothing kinky happened). A fight breaks out, Ysuran casts a spell on Elrohir, knocking him out. Christian, another student, hears the commotion and manages to get Elrohir out of harms way, back into his dormitory room.
And so all the happy people went to bed for the night, some sleeping in wool pajamas, some wearing nothing at all.
Day 4 to... something.
Okay, my mind is a blank... I think this day is day four, and it started with Elrohir pounding on Kelion's door to wake him up. Wait, no, that happened on Day 5. Blah! Curses... Okay, lemme think here ... hmm.
Yes, yes. Elrohir is still passed out in the Christian's dorm room, but he is starting to come to after the very long nappy-nap. Christian, however, had been waiting in the courtyard for Kelion all evening, during which time he hid the tools Elrohir planned to use for excavating the well. Morning comes, and Christian is angry because Kelion was a no-show; Kelion had been sleeping soundly in his bed. ^^; Morning comes!
Meanwhile, Kelion, who had been up for a good hour-or-so brushing up on his High Elven under a reclusive crab apple tree somewhere on the academy grounds, decides to head over to the combat instruction building where he had heard there is an indoor pool. Elsewhere, Relena is honing her rapier skills, but she isn't so focused on her training that Kelion's destination completely escapes her. Christian also notices Kelion on his way out of the dormitory building. Kelion, unaware he is being stalked by Relena and Christian, gets ready for a few laps around the pool - remember, kiddies, this is before nylon and polyester - so bamph! Into the pool Kelion splashes, ass-naked, just as Relena enters the room with Christian not far behind her. Kelion has no idea Relena is spying on him until Christian barges in, shouting for Kelion to get out of the pool and come help out Elrohir; it's the old, "he is your friend, not mine" argument. Blinking away the water to see who is talking to him, Kelion notices Christian and Relena, and has the sudden desire to become invisible. Luckily for him, Relena runs out of the room, almost as embarrassed as Kelion is. So ... Christian throws Kelion a towel while explaining what happened with Elrohir, and the two of them hightail it back to the dormitory.
They find the semi-conscious Elrohir in Christian's dorm room, and Kelion drags him outside to get some fresh air. On the way outside, Kelion notices Relena at the other end of the hallway and practically falls over. He explains what had happened a few minutes earlier to Elrohir, who remarks, "the women here aren't what they seem to be." Once outside, sunlight removes the curse of exhaustion from Elrohir, and no sooner is it gone than a heart-stopping scream emanates from the dormitory; immediately, Kelion and Elrohir know it is Adalia. Kelion suggests that they leave it alone, but Elrohir can't stand the thought of her taking her own life. So! ... back inside they go, and find her with a knife in her belly, attempting to abort the two-days-but-looks-nine-month-old child. Everyone is suddenly in the room, and sickened, they all swiftly depart to the opposite side of her door while Elrohir explains to Adalia that she has done the right thing by trying to kill the creature inside of her.
Lots of screaming, dirty noises, it's pretty gross. But eventually Elrohir runs out of the room with a tiny version of Pan in his arms, and tells Kelion to look after Adalia. Elrohir then rushes into the forest to slaughter his demon-elf hybrid of a child, but being the pus-say that he is, he just leaves it out in the forest to die of exposure. Little does he know that demon-elf hybrids don't die of exposure! Fool of a Took. Christian and some other guy lurk outside the door while Kelion rips up blankets and bandages up the hole in Adalia's belly, all the while murmuring to himself how stupid this is. He gets here pretty cleaned up, and tosses a blanket over her. Adalia whispers something about loving Elrohir with all her heart. Kelion pretends he doesn't hear, and instead steps outside the room and tells the people loitering there to go get the academy nurse. They leave, and Elrohir appears. They get in an argument, Elrohir pisses Kelion off ... Kelion accuses Elrohir of being selfish, and risking Adalia's life to preserve his own sense of dignity. Kelion storms off, and refuses to listen to Elrohir's rationalization of the events.
Elrohir goes back up to Adalia's room, and after thinking up a good explanation for the staff he takes her to the infirmary. The other students wondering about her condition follow along. They fix her up, make sure she is okay, and Elrohir tells them that Ysuran, a Moon Elf disguising himself as a human, and done this to her. After that, he mostly sits around telling her how much he loves her. Elsewhere, Kelion has stormed off the Flencemont Academy grounds to go sit in the forest, where Relena finds him eyeing himself in the running water of a stream - she couldn't help but follow him out there.
Kelion, being in a confused mood with all the thoughts of his head, upon noticing Relena - the girl he likes, and not just likes a little - just goes with his gut instinct and walks up to her, and innocently gives her his first kiss with all the passion a teenage boy can muster; Relena, charmed - she likes Kelion, too, after all - kisses him back. Lots of the immaturity that goes along with young love, Kelion slides off his shirt, fumbles untying Relena's blouse - oh! the downfall of shaking hands. Instead, he pulls her to the ground, but she pushes him on his back and straddles him. Now, despite being incredibly horny, Kelion's value system kicks in, and he barely manages to gasp out that he thinks the two of them should wait. She agrees, but is embarrassed (even though she hadn't shown so much as a nipple, yet), and the two of them walk back to the school. Relena goes to bed, and Kelion goes to take a cold shower.
The next day (or perhaps several days later) like I promised, Elrohir wakes up Kelion with a loud knock on his door. Groggily, Kelion answers it, and invites Elrohir in. The two of them have sort of made up, but Kelion still doesn't trust Elrohir implicitly. However, Elrohir starts talking fast about his hell spawn, and the well, and whatnot... and shows Kelion that the creature has been attempting to dig the well open, but since he only has claws he is unable to get through the tough soil. Kelion agrees that perhaps they should excavate the well themselves, before something happens... but they can't find Christian, who hid the shovels. Dun dun dun! ... Stay tuned for next episode: The Well from Hell.
Day 6: Woo! Such violence in this update, and I mean that. Violence. o_o; ...
Shovels and other digging utensils found, Elrohir and Kelion begin digging a nice big hole in the ground with Adalia standing guard. It has gotten pretty dark, and the hole has gotten pretty deep. Relena comes out looking for Kelion when suddenly she hears a loud shout of shock that sounds like Kelion! Behold, the ground has given way beneath Elrohir and Kelion, and the two fall in the well with a splash; Elrohir practically smothers Kelion beneath him, and Kelion gets a nasty bump on the head. Elrohir finds a door - which practically disintegrates beneath his touch from years of rust - and pushes it open, emptying the well of its contents and revealing a corridor which the two of them journey through.
Meanwhile, second-year pedophile --- I mean, second-year student, Severitus Kafka has been watching the digging project silently from the bushes. He observes Elrohir and Kelion fall, and sneaks up on the girls - Relena and Adalia - who are arguing. Startled and angry, they turn on him, and make him swear to secrecy. After that, the two of them JUMP down the well, and their ample behinds save them from any injury upon their landing. Severitus, dumb as a brick, just stands outside the well trying to keep watch.
Elsewhere, in the tunnel, our two heroes encounter booby traps and other forms of mischief as they make their way through the tunnel, until they come to the end at a large, ornate gate of sorts - behind which, according to what Elrohir can read on the gate - is where the 'Dark Lord' sleeps. Elrohir proclaims that this is what they must guard from his engorged hellspawn, Celahir who, just a week prior, was a twinkle in his daddy's eye. On their way back out of the tunnel, our heroes bump into their girlies, and Kelion nervously steps back to set off another booby trap. The tunnel collapses on the well-end, and the four of them are trapped inside. Little do they know, they're trapped inside with ... CELAHIR! Sweet Heavens, how did he sneak past the keen vision of Severitus? I guess it is true, masturbation does make you blind. It isn't long before the four students realize they are not alone, and Kelion and Elrohir rush back to the gate to stop it from getting through. Kelion is there first, and he kicks the gate closed before the beast can slink through, shouting bravely, "you shall not pass!" Two minutes later Kelion is unconscious with a broken wrist and ribs and bad head injury, Elrohir has a punctured lung, Relena is blind, and Adalia has bruised ribs. Where is precious Celahir? Why! He is burrowing his way out of the tunnel with only a few 'scrapes' and 'bruises.'
While the fighting is taking place below, Torenyll is having trouble sleeping, so he decides to go for a walk on the school grounds. He comes outside and finds Severitus standing outside of a hole in the ground, and politely enquires as to what is going on. Before Severitus can answer, Celahir bursts from the hole and runs into the forest. Again, within minutes, the staff of Flencemont is awake and retrieving the four first-year students from the hole in the ground so they can be cared for at the infirmary. Torenyll tells Severitus to get some sleep, and carefully consider the story he plans to present on the following day, and goes back to watch over the injured parties.
Morning comes, and there is on sign of Celahir, that cunning dog --- I mean, demonchild. Elrohir, Adalia, and Relena are starting to wake up. Kelion - the most injured - is still in a feverish sleep. Severitus comes into the infirmary to explain what happened, and Torenyll is hardly impressed with his story. As punishment, Torenyll puts him in charge of the four students, and requires him to look after their welfare while they're recovering. After that, Torenyll leaves the infirmary to make sure that the grounds men are properly dealing with the mess the two boys --- Kelion and Elrohir --- made while digging up the well. Torenyll asks them to merely put an iron grate over the hole, instead of filling it back in, and while talking to the grounds men, he bumps into Ysuran. Ysuran wants to know how Adalia is doing, Torenyll tells him to check the infirmary. To make a long story short, Severitus is useless, Ysuran tries to kill Adalia, and Elrohir sneaks off with one of his Elven boyfriends. Within minutes, Ysuran is in jail being warned and reprimanded by Torenyll... and thus the day ends!
Note from earlier day: Arminas, a friend of Elrohir, is a mercenary whose purpose at Flencemont is the extermination of Ysuran and Celahir. He was with Elrohir in the infirmary, and helped him sneak passed Severitus' watch, which wasn't very hard in light of information already provided.
Day 7: sort of a hodgepodge of chaos and insanity. This is probably going to be very brief and indescript, so don't expect too much.
Ysuran is still in jail, where Adalia visits just for the sake of making fun of him and revealing that she stole his tome when he dropped it in the infirmary. He is royally pissed, now, but is still guilty of trying to kill another student. So he stays in jail, and she goes on to class. In class, Torenyll is teaching to a mostly-empty room of students. The topic of this class is the history of the Erendast war - a war between Elves and men. He reveals to the class that he was there when the war took place, and shows them a sword called Dresillbaan, whose former master was an Elf who had fought and died in the battle. The history of the sword, according to Torenyll, was that it was forged for the purpose of slaying drow but has never tasted drow blood.
Back in jail, Ysuran has summoned a big skeleton, killed guards, and escaped. Heading back to his dormitory, the skeleton collapses, and Ysuran enters his room to retrieve his most important artifacts: the 'raven scrolls.' In his rush, however, he sets his room on fire knocking over candles and other flammable objects. Torenyll, while teaching, glances out the window and notices smoke pouring out of Ysuran's room, and rushes out of class in the middle of Adalia - who had just recently come in - trying to explain to him about Ysuran, a dark lord, and the tome she found. By the time Torenyll returns to class, just a few minutes later, having alerted the grounds men to the fire in the dormitory, he catches Adalia trying to set the tome on fire. He puts that fire out, too, and she runs out of his class. Somewhere in there, his other students have gotten around to showing up, but Torenyll can't be bothered with that, right now. He has more important things to do. So he quickly dismisses the altercation between Christian and Elrohir, telling the young Elf to defend himself and his honor, and retreats into his private office - with the sword Elrohir had placed on his desk - to examine Ysuran's tome.
Back in the dormitory, the grounds men have found Ysuran, and he is back in jail - only in a more secure (and undamaged) section of it. The building is no longer on fire, and the damage is being repaired.
Back in the office, Torenyll has gone over the tome, and found it to be somewhat interesting, but mostly just a diary written by a disturbed student with an even more disturbing family, especially regarding Ysuran's mother Vhaidra Uoswiir. However, he is distracted when he hears a loud thud, and comes back into his classroom to see that things have not worked themselves out - instead, half the room is in a brawl, especially Elrohir and Christian. Torenyll puts and end to it, and sends them to detention until he can find out just how the situation transpired. Having dealt with that as swiftly as possible, Torenyll is back at the lock-up where Ysuran is kept, and finds out what had happened: murdered guards, summoning, destruction of school property, and other serious matters. Torenyll decides it is beyond the school's authority to deal with the issue, and has a judge from the nearby village of Asonvast called to mediate the issue where, in all likelihood, Ysuran will be put on trial for the crimes he has committed and risks the punishment of execution.
Day 8.
Blair Murk and Elrohir crossed paths while she was following Christian across the campus for nothing more than the purpose of catching up to him and harassing him. Christian had classes to attend to so Blair stayed with Elrohir and assisted him in his theft of "Dresillbaan", a sword forged for the single purpose of slaying all forms of dark elves. Elrohir considered it "just opportunism" and ~borrowed~ the sword from Torenyll's office. Elrohir and Christian visited Kelion to tell him of the newfound plan. Kelion's self-pity was too much for Elrohir to bear, though, so he retired to his room to practice his swordsmanship with Arminas, looking to be at his best should he run into his son. Christian stayed behind to try and talk some sense into Kelion, but came off as both arrogant and revealed that "he could have assisted in the well at anytime," but simply chose not to. Kelion became enraged and sent Christian out.
Celahir offered to free Ysuran from prison provided that the wizard follow his command. Ysuran refused and instead animated the corpse of one of the guards that Celahir murdered on his way down. The wizard then proceeded to create a shadow replica of Celahir to battle him across the campus. Celahir used the shadow's lack of terrain knowledge and blindness to his advantage. He lured the shadow to the well and tricked it into falling into the now waterless well.
In his corrupted forest, Celahir was confronted by Elias, who saw Celahir as competition. He attacked Celahir with various elemental attacks, which proved to be ineffective. Elias's greed and vanity interested Celahir. Despite his inability to create, Celahir's abilities to corrupt and taint are second to none, and the encounter had somewhat of an unexpected outcome.
Day 9.
Rumil the Vindicator and his bodygoard Thorondor Vasa arrive at Flencemont, hold a discussion in Torenyll's office where, unbeknownest to them, Ysuran is hiding. A new student, whose name I can't recall, is demanding attention and a tour, but alas, such arrangements cannot immediately be made for her. Luckily, a one-year student finds her and helps her along. Ysuran is found by Thorondor, and nearly beheaded, and the plot is unravelled further as to the events that have unfolded in Flencemont. After much deliberation, Rumil decides that Ysuran's trial and possible execution will take place the following morning.
And that's all she wrote!
