Metawerx Dividian Chronicles Galactic War 1 - Settlement Year 1 250,000 A.D. (Former Earth Christian Calendar) White Star Federated Council (WSF-C/WSF) is formed. Galactic Star Cruiser "Veda" is lost while pursuing an interplanetary life form that demonstrated sentience and exists in the vacuum of space without need of at atmosphere. 300,000 A.D. Datawave transmission is received from a long-dormant Earth Federation satellite which triggers the Genesis Module and activates it. The Genesis Module, having landed on the planet of Dividia, creates the first primordial life-forms of that planet, including the restructured human being. 812 F.C. (Foundation Century)/450,000 A.D. First human civilisations established in north-eastern hemisphere. The kingdom of Rajarupa begins military advances to expand territory by 40%. 815 F.C. The Rajarupa kingdom defeats the Yuan-Shu tribe and establishes its new capitol under the rule of Ryu-O. Yuan-Shu remnants retreat to Sung-Yung mountain and form the first bandit camps. 967 F.C. The Rajarupa kingdom forms a peace treaty with the Excelis principalities and is absorbed by Excelis in the following years, suffering from military feuds and economic constraints. 10 E.I. (Excelis Imperialism) The Excelis Empire is finally established in a ten year period, following the death of Princes Golis and Sanguaid. 785 E.I. Remnants of the Lai Imperial Trade Federation arrive on Dividia and crash-land in the eastern hemisphere. The survivors choose to hide their technology after realising that the world they've come to is more primitive than their own culture and would suffer a shock if exposed to their advancements. 787 E.I. Garahaled named first chieftan of the Lai Clan and establishes Ghale Harbour City as the clan's home. He proclaims the sword "Falcion" as the ruling scepter of the clan and to be a symbol of leadership for all who come after him. 792 E.I. Oberon Lai is born to Garahaled and Aytena and named successor to the chieftan's throne. 816 E.I. The Excelis Empire attempts to absorb the Lai Clan but is repelled by the first magic known on Dividia, expressed by Yuan Janus. Excelis is thrown into discord and subsequent uprisings and discord slowly tear it apart over a fifteen year period. 831 E.I. The Excelis Empire is formally dissolved and splits off into the Ephantae and Kuong Wu tribes. 15 A.E. (After Excelis)/846 E.I. Oberon succeeds Garahaled to the throne, recieves Falcion as his ruling right, and learns of lady Hoshiko, the lone survivor of a fellow empire wiped out during the war that dismantled the Lai Imperial Trade Federation and sent its refugees to Dividia. Hoshiko is awakened from Cryogenic sleep and placed in Oberon's care. 16 A.E. Fuushu Janus is born to Yuan and Falayn Janus. Hidoshi Nobunaga appears for the first time in Dividian history. Parents and birthdate are yet unknown. 19 A.E. Jurand and Duran Lai born to Oberon. Duran kidnapped by the Hyujin bandits in the following year during a raid on Ghale. The bandits leader Vought Hardfire decides to raise Duran as his own and names him Victor. 1 L.I. (Lai Imperialism)/32 A.E. The House of Lai is established. Oberon is pronounced Emperor and Jurand is named Crown Prince. 7 L.I. Victor and the Hyujin bandits all but disappear and Oberon finally gives up searching. Hoshiko meanwhile leaves his care to carve out a name for herself in the world, as well as find a husband with which to rebuild her fallen race. 8 L.I. The Ephantae Empire is established under Emperor Castule, with Shikandin and Heiko as potential crown princes. 10 L.I. Hoshiko forms a kingdom from the many clans in the region she controls and unites them under the Kanjin banner. 16 L.I. Jurand locates Victor competing in a tournament for the hand of Lady Hoshiko. Although Victor wins, Hoshiko rejects him and departs with Kiddoran, one of the contestants Victor defeated. Jurand invites Victor to return to Lai but he declines, saying that his place is with the bandits. 17 L.I. Oberon comes to visit Victor and finds out that Vought has died. Victor is now the leader and has decided to seek the hand of Setsu Uzume, his beloved. Hidoshi, who has become friends with Victor tries to persuade him but fails as well and stays a time with the Hyujin bandits to keep Victor company. 21 L.I Victor and Setsu become lovers, but the affair is short lived as a rival suitor comes into play and Setsu decides to leave with him. Victor becomes depressed and eventually disappears from Hyujin, leaving Ronnie Celts in charge. 23 L.I. Victor returns to Hyujin after a long period of self-exile, sufficiently more depressed having run into Setsu several times during his wanderings. In the next six months, he dies in battle and Ronnie becomes the permanent Hyujin chieftan. Hidoshi attends the cremation along with Oberon and Jurand. Hoshiko receives the news late and visits Victor's grave a few weeks later. 24 L.I. Oberon is killed in battle defending Hoshiko from a dangerous sorcerer. Aftrward, Hoshiko takes up the name Fukachi Aozora and leaves behind Kiddoran and her kingdom in a depressed, angry state. Kiddoran attempts to pursue her but is stopped by Hidoshi, who over the past one year, has become good friends with Aozora and understands her reasons for leaving. Kiddoran continues to rule in Aozora's place, but proves to be a bad political leader and the Kanjin kingdom is soon dissolved into separate clans. Jurand ascends the Lai throne shortly thereafter and becomes its third monarch. 26 L.I./18 E.I. (Ephantae Imperialism) Emperor Castule attempts to murder his son Shikandin and is killed in the process. Shikandin becomes the new ruler of Ephantae. The Ephantae Empire then begins a systematic, military expansion of its borders and annexes many small kingdoms in the process. Yuan Janus passes on due to a sickness. Fuushu Janus marries Sonoshi Yurimaru and starts the Magi Workshop in Ghale. 21 E.I. The Ephantae Empire is forced to halt its advances as it comes up against the twin borders of the House of Lai and the Linlion Sun Empire. Fuushu Janus and Hidoshi Nobunaga are sent as delegates to the Ephantae border and help to forge an alliance with Shikandin and his advisors. 22 E.I. Marduke, Akhenon, Inale, and Omen, four agents of darkness appear and begin to tear apart both Ephantae and Kuong Wu. Emperor Yamato sends Norinaga Kegato and a host of samurai to defeat Marduke, and they are joined by a Lai division lead by Hidoshi and Fuushu. This joint operation forges a temporary alliance between the House of Lai and the Kuong-Wu Empire. 23 E.I. Akhenon and Omen are defeated, Inale vanishes, and Marduke continues the reign of terror in their place. It seems only specific weapons, held by specific warriors can defeat him and so a search for these weapons begins. After a period of 11 months, the weapons are gathered and the battle to destroy Marduke begins in earnest. 24 E.I. On the dawn of the new year, Marduke is defeated, his body torn apart by the five holy weapons and their wielders. The five warriors are then revealed as Escander Goddard from Ephantae, one of Shikandin's brain trusts; Korin Fenrir of unknown origin, Vedanta Bei of the Kuong Wu Empire, Fresen Enwell of the Calandrian trade federation, and Hidoshi Nobunaga of the House of Lai. These heroes are celebrated throughout many nations, but due to overwhelming popularity, all of them choose to return to low-profile occupations and hide until the celebration dies down. Nothing is heard from any of them for several years, save for a rather overly-celebrated wedding between Escander Goddard and Lady Alyssa Pentress. 25 E.I./33 L.I. Ryoga Shinjo first appears in the company of Hidoshi and becomes a trusted warrior of the House of Lai. He establishes his own command unit and is accompanied by several family members who take up residence in the capitol city of Ghale. It is then revealed that Hidoshi possesses unnaturally long life due to his heritage, seeing as his father was a sorcerer who used his powers to enhance the longevity of his bloodline. Meanwhile, the adopted son of Jurand, Shadesen Lai, is taken under the wing of Shikandin and educated in the art of war. 35 L.I. Barely has the world recovered from the assault of Marduke when all of a sudden a demon name Avidya appears and starts to wreak havoc on the Kuong Wu Empire. Once again, the five warriors who rose up to defeat Marduke return, but with one of their number absent. Fresen Enwell has died in the interim due to a severe plague spreading through Calandria. The four heroes engage Avidya and battle with the humanoid monster for several days without rest, and are about to be defeated when Kuong Wu's own ruler, Harukage Yamato joins the battle, brandishing Fresen's weapon his hand. After a ferocious conflict, Avidya is destroyed and Yamato reveals that Fresen had chosen him as his successor shortly before dying. 37 L.I. Ryoga Shinjo becomes part of the Lai Royal Guard. Veshen Zhebanelm arrives from the WSF-C along with Jin-Shen of the Young Masters WSF order to investigate the recent attacks by Marduke and Avidya. Under the code of planetary non-interference, Jin-Shen and Veshen keep their identities and technology strictly hidden, until Hidoshi and Ryoga stumble upon them in the process of unloading some equipment and learn the truth about these two. The two warriors are hardly surprised though, having seen visions of such things before due to Hidoshi's strange ancestry. Jin-Shen then takes a blood sample from Hidoshi and reveals that his father was actually a WSF-C deserter who had come to Dividia in hopes of hiding from the law. Due to his father's dabbling in genetics, Hidoshi has retained a broken memory of various images taken from his father's time in the WSF-C. Ryoga, having fought alongside Hidoshi many times and the two having healed each other, shared spiritual energy while repairing each other's wounds and some of Hidoshi's implanted memories accidentally slipped to Ryoga. Hidoshi and Ryoga swear to keep Jin-Shen and Veshen's true identities a secret and the four part ways for a time. 40 L.I. Ryoga marries and has three children over the course of the next three years. He names Hidoshi their Godfather and the two form a permanent alliance of their families. Meanwhile, Shikandin vanishes from Ephantae, leaving an inexperienced but brilliant Heiko to rule. 41 L.I. Jurand Lai is killed in a fierce battle with an agent of darkness while defending Ephantae. His sword is passed on to his adopted son, Shadesen who has since returned from Shikandin's tutlage, versed in politics and warfare. Lady Pentress becomes the first foreign ambassador in Lai and helps to form a loose alliance with the Calandrians. 43 L.I. Fuushu Janus passes on due to intense sickness, leaving behind his widow Sonoshi and two sons, Tamashii and Nekki. Tamashii goes on to become a renowned scholar of history and Nekki continues his father's workshop in Ghale. Unfortunately, Nekki isn't capable of garnering the same respect his father did and the workshop soon loses its patronage. 44 L.I. The Magi Workshop is officially dissolved and its books stored in the imperial vault. The Hyperion Empire is formed in the western hemisphere. 47 L.I. Shadesen Lai is married to Aylena Taneer and then two months later declares that the successor to the throne will not be determined by who was born first, but by which displays the more exemplary character in following the doctrine of rulership. If the princes is unable to rule entirely, then the council will choose another noble based upon his or her qualities. This issues in the first step toward a democratic government system. 50 L.I. Narciess Lai is born. Hidoshi Nobunaga vanishes from the ranks of the House and heads for the western continent. 52 L.I. Challanor Lai is born. Ryoga Shinjo vanishes from the ranks of the House and heads for the western continent. Aloren Leo appears. 77 L.I. Shadesen retires from the throne and gives it over to Challanor. Narciess feels dishonoured and seeks to kill his brother but is wounded and imprisoned during his attempt. 79 L.I. Challanor steps down from the throne and declares that the government of the House will institute formal steps to become a democracy. He states that the ruler must be voted from the ranks of Parliment by the people of the nation. Challanor retains power until this law is established and accepted. Meanwhile, the Kuong Wu Empire is dissolved into several city-states. 85 L.I. Aloren Leo presents himself to the various nations at the alliance summit meeting called by Challanor and the current Ephantae ruler, Lawrence. He states that the "Inner World" is blossoming and that Dividia will be dissolved in its waking. Aloren Leo then vanishes and volcanic ruptures begin to form across the world. To try and counteract these measures the various nations arrange to have their priests and magicians come up with a solution, but none is found. Challanor then reveals for the first time that the House of Lai has advanced technology. Although none of it is useful in halting the volcanic ruptures, some of the Dividian population can be preserved by sending it out into space aboard the starships long since buried beneath the capitol city of Ghale. A restoration project begins in earnest and three ships capable of carrying 30,000 people apiece are uncovered. 91 L.I./3 P.R. (Post-Revelation) The volcanic ruptures intensify and the Ghale starship are finally restored. 90,000 Dividian refugees are chosen and disembark from the dying world. Those left behind send their hopes and dreams with those leaving and pray for a peaceful death. In the following months, Dividia is enveloped by fire and the planet is extinguished. Those in the starships observe as space apparently "unfolds" and produces a new planet in Dividia's place. This world is called Solest. 4 P.R./1 S.E. (Solest Era) The Ghale starships decide to disembark for other worlds and leave Solest to its own civilisation. Meanwhile, on the world, several souls from Dividia are reincarnating for some unknown reason. This process of reincarnation is not apparent at first, but several souls start to remember their past lives on Dividia. Among them are Hidoshi Nobunaga and Ryoga Shinjo who have been reborn with not only their memories, but the same names and bodies as before. Hidoshi believes it to be a cosmic glitch, but Ryoga thinks it may be a biological anomaly in their natural makeup.
