OOC HISTORY
There was a DH before the second era, the DH having three era's to date. The first being way back when, when geocities rp'ing was coming into being. Not much is known of this time period, and therefore will be left out. The second era came into existance when Trisance Alvein had the sick urge to go on a rampage. At that time Turgon Galvorn decided it would be a good idea. Ya know... something to do. So we decided to band together and recruit mass people who had the slightest bit of talent. We took the roles of DH Trisance Seri and DH Gaius Walker. We became widely known throughout geo. We amassed a large group of warriors to fight for the DH, and at its peak, had about 20 members. DH had a "monopoly" on the best fighters on chat. We had the likes of Tybalt Malave (who to this day is named Tybalt), Innovane Terris (Dice), Turlas Noraker (Seven), Neo Genesis (Dark Haze), Ash Maltex (Sphere Knight), Edge Ancense (Aegis Knight), and many more of geo's greats. We waged war on all of geo, and almost won. We took on Lai, and the then dissapearing Vandal. Lai was dying quickly (we were whuppin the ---- outta the judicators, and everything they had), and all was seeming to go our way, until the dreaded day Shadesire (Kerm) decided to put an end to all this. Now back then no one was a match for Kerm, unlike today. Nothing could stop the onslaught of the killing of many Dark Hunters in that dreaded battle. Gaius Walker, Trisance Seri, Innovane Terris, Turlas Noraker, Neo Genesis, and others... all fell to the blade of Shadesire. After that, DH basically disbanded, and the rest of the members split their own ways. Lai flourished, and DH was never heard from again... until Metawerx.
About 2-3 months into Meta, when it started to flourish, Trisance decided to revive the DH into its former glory. He called upon Turgon and once again DH was born. Trisance taking the char of Trisance Seri, reviving him from his cold sleep and Turgon creating Strider. Ever since the third era, DH has been growing slowly but surely. When the coin system was brought into chat, the Dark Hunters pounced on it. This has created many petty battles, and arguements with Lai. But nothing on such a grand scale as it had been before. The Dark Hunters hold a rep of being the best fighters, and we are using this talent to lead RP into a new generation.

Soon there-after, Strider took the helm of the Dark Hunters, and the terror of the DH crest became almost legendary. Then the amusement of reckless slaughter began to die down, and without considering the consequences, Stider lost his guild to Sayne Lament in a simple bet. With Sayne at the helm, the name of the Dark Hunters became less feared, and the horror it evoked was quelled to less than a dull roar, or even a muffled sigh. Sayne's interest in metawerx dropped, too, and soon the Dark Hunters were nothing more than an eerie legend told to newbies in order to scare them. They seemed to have been forgotten forever, or so everyone hoped.
At least two years later, long after Trisance had been banned from metawerx and Stider had lost all interest in chatting, the crest resurfaced. At first it was a simple joke, created for the amusement of a select group of people. The names they created were DH Lanfaer and DH Waylander. This soon spread as another, whom long-prior had admired the Dark Hunters, wished to join. She became DH Riveri, and as a result of her coming, a final member joined who called himself DH Tiveor. We raised hell in metawerx for about two weeks, and then it died down again. After all, it was nothing more than a joke --- just to see how people would react. Little did we know what the consequences of our actions would be.
Out of the blue --- actually due to Rune's relentless and pathetic complaints --- several older members of the Dark Hunters resurfaced, to counter this hoax. Several were genuine, and others were spoofed; for example: DH Ladon Grakul, Kugetsu Juku, and DH SurrealOne. The falsified names were numerous, ranging from DH Fluffy Bunny (Wispy) to DH Nightmare (Rune). A brief, violent encounter in a tavern ensued, so poorly role-played out I almost gagged. This was the result of our little joke, and it also was the death-knoll of the Dark Hunters --- or so I had hoped.
Several months later, when coming online, I was met with the rather repulsive sight of at least four names which had upon them the crest of the Dark Hunters. Immediately, I logged in as Lanfaer, for the purpose of investigation. None of these members were even partially legitimate, but unlike my earlier endeavor, this wasn't a joke. It was a serious attempt --- seriously lame, for that matter. I was forced to take the helm; nobody challenged me anyway. The results of that decision still leave me somewhat mystified. Many of the people who took on the crest were gone in a week, but I gained two members who I could never imagined would return to metawerx after so long. Kugetsu Juku appeared, and seemed happy about it; even venturing to re-join the guild himself, and he was later followed by DH Nefarious, yet another old member from the group that made history in Geos. This made our current roster: DH Lanfaer, DH Heimdall, DH Sagarus, DH Sinihra, DH Lorket, DH Kishido, and DH Nefarious.
Still, I wasn't satisfied leaving the role-played holes left unaccounted for, so when I encountered Sayne online, I made her a proposal, and asked her to role-play out an exchange, involving me assuming command of the historical Dark Hunters. She agreed ... but she had a few things in mind. Sayne realized that nobody would accept her as the leader of the Dark Hunters, so she willingly allowed me to take the offical `historical` helm. However, she still wanted to be a part of it, to be involved in the roleplaying. In light of that, I granted a few concessions allowing her an *in* of sorts as to our planning --- but only if she asks for the information. This was probably the most civilized DH roleplay on record.
